North Ossetia sends New Year's humanitarian cargo for Donetsk, Lugansk children
The children of Donetsk and Lugansk will again receive New Year gifts from North Ossetia. As the press service of the regional Center for the Protection of Population and Territories of the Republics from Emergency Situations reports, about two tons of confectionery and gifts have been sent to small residents of the Donbass Republics.
"The Head and the government of the Republic made the decision to provide humanitarian assistance. The cargo was collected on the basis of the Center. Bodies of executive power, local self-government bodies and commercial organizations of North Ossetia have again become 'good wizards' for the children of the Lugansk and Donetsk regions. By combining efforts, they have collected more than 2.5 thousand gifts," the statement says.
From North Ossetia, the cargo will be delivered to the rescue center of the Southern Regional Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia, from where it will leave for the destination as part of the MES convoy.
In recent years, the Republic has repeatedly helped the inhabitants of the Crimea, the Donetsk and Lugansk Republics, as well as forced migrants settled in the territory of North Ossetia. In previous years, the region has sent more than 2.5 tons of confectionery and gifts to the children of Donetsk and Lugansk by the New Year.
